increase FPS
hey, i run every game on ulta with high fps, but not ARMA 3--- why? i know its cpu demanding, still i run a i7 3700k 4,5 GHZ--- my specs below-- courious of what i can do to increase the fps--tnx in advance.(average fps arma 3: 25-35)

decreasing your draw distance will help.

mostly online, like Wasteland etc.

Wasteland is likely to blame. There is a lot of reasons for this one of the key things is it lacks a good percentage of quality control with respect to scripting and script design, also it runs a lot of scripts on both client and server-side. Many Wasteland missions I've joined with -ShowScriptErrors will just flood my screen with errors on scripts they have installed

Log-files on clients which grow can impact performance quite severely.
ye, true- i noticed the more "spawns of equipment the lower the perfermance" but still, when im on locations all by myself that should not afflect my fps since the map is already loaded in memory....or can actually a server afflect my fps, even on a original map ? ( my network is not an issue here <500/500 mbps>

even if AI it's not close at all ? this sounds like a game engine problem ,not server script.even the latest HW have problem, so im guessing the optimization of this game have been outdated <layed on ice> ?

guess they degraded the AI simulation cause of the calculations, and what that will do to performance in thought of the average of computers/servers out there.. anyways --- they should rly look into the performance optimization, consider the potensial. The only thing lots of the community>player base wants is a higher fps online.

but back to the question. anything i could to do for increasing my fps?

And if you want deeper information using something like DebugView and monitoring direct network update messages from the server. DebugView snags the output data from #debug and displays it. You can't see this data without using debugView.
tnx , will try that!

Interesting read! Following. Please continue expanding your thoughts, much appreciated. We are playing a lot of "Liberation".
I am the server, I continue to get decent fps (45+)
Clients seem to drain out after an hour or so (<20)
Many other variables I could post but I don't want to highjack.

Liberation is one of the better missions in general if configured correctly.
...Hi Sphere
That's what we thought as well. Sorry if it appeared as if I was placing blame on the mission itself.
That's not it at all. I think we use quite a few mods which in turn affects any mission. Do you have any tips on mission parameters or mods that may hinder fps's.
We use,...
Zab
bigger trunks
mrb a3 voicestop
Discipline
Advanced Sling Loading
Advanced Urban Rappelling
Advanced Towing
Nofatigue (I think we can turn off in mission parameters)
VTS Weapons Resting
mao anims sway fix
Epoch
Enhanced Movement
JSRS Sound
CBA v3.7.0

"by the way, Scorpion, thanks!

Go to Nvidia control panel and set Arma 3 to run at high performance.
