Arma 3
Indy409 Jun 23, 2019 @ 8:13pm
Is there any mods out there that make arma 3 less clunky feeling while preforming cqb still missions thanks?
Arma 3 is very clunky in movement and thought by now someone would have made a mod for this but I cant find it and some please tell me if it is a thing thanks. I have playing a lot of EFT and the movement in that is spot on it feels like your carrying a weapon and cqb is intense hoping arma 3 will have the same with a mod if it exist.

Arma always had a clunky movement but improved already a lot in A3. Afaik there are no mods that tackle that, so you probably have to deal with it.

Just play Arma 1 or 2 a while then you will love the movement in A3 :P

The movement in Arma is Terrible, it feels like im using a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ controller it is so stiff and I apparently dont know how to jump.

i never had a problem with the movement. the characters animation are precise, do what i want and are fast enough while still looking realistic...

Its more that game players have a eye on COD or Battlefield game play speed ,, arma is not that and they have feeling off clunky game play.

You don't need jumping and a controller is actually smooth. Arma 3's movement isn't.

If you want to be able to jump and climb, download a mod called "Enhanced Movement"

A controller is now where near as smooth as a mouse and keyboard which is what im getting at.

Nobody is talking about the gameplay or the flow of the game, talking about the feeling of like movement lol. I specifically am also talkining about how the movement in Arma 3 feels very stiff and awkward and not realistic because it is not difficult for me to walk left/right, stop, or do some spin or 90 degree turn to shoot someone in real life.

I think you mean the right thing but the way you say it is incorrect. A mouse and keyboard is faster, but smooth movement is only really possible with a controller. Take any game with a free cam and try to rotate the camera steadily at the same speed. You'll realize that it's a lot easier to do with a controller than with a mouse.

Same with movement. Can I move into any direction only a little bit? No, I can't because if I press W I go full speed (sprinting not included)

I want a movement system like escape from tarkov ...very solid movement and tight just like cqb should be.

Highly recommend this one, although while it does add more flexible movement options like jumping, climbing, and some better instances of vaulting obstacles, it won't resolve the game's ~100ms input lag. This video explains some of the game's fundamental control issue better than I can. Argo and Arma use the same fundamental engine and assets, making the two games' issues almost interchangeable at this level.

its not difficult to do these moves in arma3 and it doesnt look or feel unrealistic...
maybe you need to change your mouse and FOV settings in the game settings to make it feel better and more comfortable for you
