How to use arsenal in Zeus?

How do you equip advanced weapons from arsenal crate in Zeus gamemode?

Always I play Zeus I see people taking advanced equipment from it, but they never say how to do it. I can only see two options when mousescrolling on the crate:
- inventory, which usually contains nothing or some basic weapons,
- virtual arsenal, which only shows weapons I have equipped.

Example: I see people getting Carl Gustaf launcher from Arsenal, but if I look into the Arsenal inventory or virtual arsenal there's no option to get this item.

I have about 800 hours in A3, but I am new to Zeus and I can't figure out. Any help is appreciated.



SOLVED.
You have to go to Arsenal,
Click on the Save button and save whatever loadout you have,
this will enable Load button and now you can load whatever loadout you want.

if you have 800 hours then grabbing things from an inventory/arsenal is the same. Except in Zeus, you have a Gods eye view of everything. you aren't playing the game as a ground pounder. You're creating the mission. It doesn't exactly matter what your loadout is if you're just placing units and telling them to attack.

That said, you have to place items in the crates for other people to use them. It's recommended you search the Workshop for Achilles as it greatly expands the functions of Zeus, including adding full arsenals for people.

If you want a supply box to have specific items, you need to search for the crate you want and double click on it to open up the properties. if you have Achilles, you'll have the option to put into the inventory whatever you want (not 100% sure on vanilla Zeus interface because i hardly use it).

TLDR: The arsenal/supply box has to have equipment in it before you can get stuff from it, but it doesn't matter so much to the zeus since he's not playing in a traditional capacity

Achilles is basically required for zeus so get that ASAP. it has a module you can place on boxes to instantly add a arsen

I'm not playing as a Zeus. I was playing as a normal player. I know Zeus can change the content of the crate. The problem is that some people get equipment from the Arsenal crate that isn't there. That's what's so confusing. It happens regularly, it's not just one example, it happens every game. I see people who come to Arsenal crate and are able to take the best equipment that wasn't there. Basically entire team is running around with basic weapons and one or two people have the best IR scopes, high powered rifles, best ballistic vest and other stuff they shouldn't have. When I asked them how did they do it, they don't respond.

Likely just using a mod which gives them the full arsenal.

You do that using a custom loadout that you have, but be aware that addon weapons won't appear unless the host enables them

it might appear grey, but i recently discovered that they still work, you just have to pick one and voila

Yes, it certainly looks that way. As if he had unlimited access to all equipment. Is that possible on official BI server though? I only played official servers with Zeus.

It's not it. Custom loadouts were disabled. Or at least I wasn't able to get custom loadouts from the Arsenal.

Yes, it certainly looks that way. As if he had unlimited access to all equipment. Is that possible on official BI server though? I only played official servers with Zeus.

Technically not since the official servers shouldn't let you join in if you have mods enabled but I guess people found workarounds.

I have my own loadouts and they appeared grey as you said. I ll try to load them anyway and see if that works.

well, they might be loading different loadouts with different equipment, they might share same equipment like weapons, but different scopes for them, or hats for the character or any other stuff

For example, a friend of mine as around 50 or so custom loadouts, some share same uniform but different weapon, bag, chest stuff, helmet, etc... And i imagine that all of that might be a pain in the ass to sort correctly, so he probably changes while checking which one has the stuff he needs

So I tried and it's not it either. Custom loadouts are definitely disabled and some people can still take whatever they want from arsenal. And I saw another guy doing it.

I have no idea what's going on, but I guess Mason's explanation is the best or it's some glitching.
