Contact DLC Using Spectrum device on "Going Dark" How to divert squad?

How the hell am I supposed to do this part of the mission. I have the music selected and when I aim it at the radio guy the bar goes half way up and says unknown. I get a red message that says its delta squad. Doing "HQ to Delta" doesn't do anything. I have restarted the mission 3 times and have positioned myself or gotten closer multiple different ways still nothing please help.

Did you try sending them a second message and telling them to go somewhere? You can also just kill them probably.

Yes I have tried that. I killed all of them but I fail the mission.

Are you sure you're sending the message/signals completely through, and not just selecting them? Are they responding, is their HQ responding? If they don't call in to their HQ when you send noise or music through their comms, it's likely you're not sending the message fully or at all.

You need to select music, hold down LMB and send it through their comms a bit, then stop. Let them talk so you hear their callsign, then after a while, send HQ to Delta, wait for the response, then order them to move east. That should do the trick, otherwise something could be broken for you.

I have the same problem... Playing the music at the squad but nothing happens... Did u solve it??

This post is super old but I think I had to restart the whole mission. Or I watched a youtube video on how to do it.
