In what order should I play Arma games?
I bought Bohemia Interactive bundle[www.humblebundle.com] from Humble Bundle, but i don't know in what order to play those games.

These are the games that I have in my Library
  • Arma X: Anniversary Edition
  • Arma: Cold War Assault
  • Arma: Gold Edition
  • Arma 2
  • Arma 2: British Armed Forces
  • Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead
  • Arma 2: Army of the Czech Republic
  • Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead (Obsolete)
  • Arma 2: Private Military Company
  • Arma 3

INSTALL THE ARMA 2 first, launch it, then OA, launch it, and maybe then the others. It is tricky to get them all working right, but once done, the game presents a unified game interface with all the DLC and addons, launched from OA as I recall. The ARMA 2 games also tied loosely with Hands on Helicopters and Hands on Hinds for the armchair pilots.

So play order:
Arma 2
Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead
Arma 2: British Armed Forces
Arma 2: Private Military Company (Buggy, but I liked it)
Arma 2: Army of the Czech Republic (Very buggy)

The play order doesn't really matter, they are all independent of each other, though they might refer to earlier games, like vietnam veterans might mention WW2 veterans; no big deal.

Arma 3

I'll also mention, ARMA 2/3 has settings that can humble any computer, I don't care how many $1000s you spent.

Play some A2 then A3, Once you play A3 you can't go back to A2 as it feels like poo, so might as well play A2 before playing A3 ruins it for you lol

Play them backwards, like Star Wars, for maximum immersion effects.

Thanks for answer.

What about Arma: Cold War Assault and Arma: Gold Edition?
Should i play them before Arma 2, or between Arma 2 and 3

And what settings exactly should I lower?
I noticed that with high settings in Arma 2, I get very low fps.
no you should not,as bbfloyd already posted, they didn´t age well at all. for the most people, ArmA2+OA is the lowest they can bear but offer a lot of fun in return so they shouldn´t be skipped (unlike CWA and Gold)

Lower visibility, if you go set the range too high you can see 10km into the slideshow. set everything to high and enjoy, this isn´t a game where you will have constant 100fps+ but rather pray for steady 45+

Play the single player campaign for Arma Cold War Assault. the graphics are dated but it is still fun even 18 years on. It's by far the best campaign and will teach the the finer points of controlling the AI and how stuff works. Skip Armed Assault that is terrible.

Once you have completed Cold War Assault then try the Arma 2 campaign. Don't skip Cold War Assault just because it looks dated.

If your computer has the horsepower, Fire up ARMA 3, and then install the RHS mods from the workshop and you get the old content and islands from "Operation Flashpoint" Aka "ARMA Cold War Crisis"

Of course, I rate that game as the best one in the series, but the engine of Arma 3 is better.
For an example, in Flashpoint you couldn't run and reload, nor could you swim, very unspecial forces like :D

Don't you mean CUP mods!

CUP had islands and the Arma 2 content, so yeah the CUP as well as the RHS, I operate both of them and totally thrashed the vanilla A3 content :D
I am not a futuristic weapon / vehicle fan at all.
