Unless steam finds a way to fix corrupted files or something
Redownloading is the dumb version of repairing. Unfortuantely the corrupted files have 0kb file size in explorer so it looks like we have to download again. A few month ago I had a similar issue when I had to download the game and all mods again in the end. I still have 133 GB of Data in my !Workshop file and my Steam Library is 1.61TB overall and seriously hope they will sort out this killer bug for the overall concept of Steam in general and modding in Arma 3 in particular.
They really need to step up their game, at this point i'm considering just downloading mods from 3rd party websites instead but some are only on steam sadly.
