How to remove purchase DLC ads?

Was trying to snipe and some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about buying DLC kept coming up even tho I closed it several times, how can I stop this from showing up? I understand there is DLC I do not need it put on the center of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ screen while I am playing lol

you get those if you are using dlc items.

Its made so you can use a DLC weapon, but as a test, and will annoy you more and more and more until you stop using dlc weapons or buy the dlc.

Cause otherwise, whats the point of a dlc if u can use items from a dlc for free without a problem =D

As said above, you are using a dlc item that you have not bought which include apex, helicopters, marksmen and karts. It's actually a really good method on Bohemias part, as it allows all player to play together on the same server even if some have the dlc and others dont, whereas on another game this would not be possible.

It was seen in arma 2 as LITE which gave players access to everything from dlcs but with lower resoloution textures.

The annoying messages are there for a reason, you can try out the weapons and vehicles but not without harrassment.

I do not think I am using a DLC item, I have sniper rifle with nightstalker scope, Will check to make sure but was one of only sniper rifles there that was not a DLC weapon.

I don't mind the model of being able to test out DLC items without needing it first (minus the remove Laser Designator, that thing is absolutely not usable).

What I would really apprechiate though would be either an option to hide these things in the editor or them to fix the missing indicators when filling inventories.

The loadout editor has the proper markings and so has the right side panel but the actual inventory editor has not a single icon for anything and it's extremely easy to stuff things in there which will then end up blocking your screen : /


But by now I'm starting to get used to just memorize which things I can use fine and which to avoid, but given I can't use them I'd rather have them not bother me while scrolling through the rather long list of items.

I don't think BIS was trying to do US any favors, but rather save their own hides by not losing a lot of loyal Arma fans, I myself being one of those who have been around since Operation Flashpoint! I downloaded a mission and played it yesterday, and had those annoying Purchase DLC Ads in my face every 30 seconds; How are we to know what rifles are DLC? Is that going to be something new we're going to have to do when playing an online mission that doesn't require a DLC to play, but has choosen to incorporate them, to waste time dropping weapons and trying to locate non-DLC content... Let's be honest, this is nothing more than a form of DISHONEST RANSOME, to annoy people into buying their crap! If we don't want it, we DON'T WANT IT! I think there are workarounds, such as detecting if we own the DLC, and not spawning the DLC weapons in our hands, thus we don't have to be subjected to their stupid corporate tactic's in the heat of battle which has gotten me killed several times! They take away the best weapons we've all come to know and love, the American Weapons, then add these crappy UN weapons, while introducing their version of the "good" stuff in the form of purchasable DLC... Talk about crappy business practices! If I were pidgeon I'd personally find out where these BIS employees work and fly over their heads and crap on them! One giant wormy white pidgeon poo dropping square on their heads is exactly what they deserve! These idiots aren't doing us any favors, make no mistakes!

The only problem is I already own the DLC's but I still get ads for it, even though I have bought them. Does not let me use them.

It's impossible to remember all of THIS every server you play on, and you don't have time to look on the list every time you pick up a weapon, it's just down right corporate harassment, nothing more! They think they can harass us until we get so fed up we throw our money in their faces in disgust! They've got another thing coming, that's NOT how it works!

Just want to add my two cents: As someone who's been making missions off and on for several years, it's super annoying, IMO, to have to constantly be careful not to use any of the DLC items that I don't own. I get why they are there... it's a great way to test things, but there really should be an Eden option to not show them.
