You can't revert it.

This update is huge (the size of a whole game - $10 US for me to download) and it's destructive - It ruined my work as well.

Arma 3 has reached it's final call... uninstalling

You get a knife, slide it across your throat. :)

LOL What a hero...

Just make sure you keep paying then and make sure you're crawling when your turn comes to run it across yours.

  • A Legacy Build Steam branch is available for advanced users. It contains the previous significant main branch version (1.64). It can be used to compare specific changes between major releases. The access code for this branch is: Arma3Legacy164
ArmA III > Properties > BETAS, then choose the Legacy 1.64 option and use the above code to access it.

Only a temporay solution, you can't exactly publish betas for the current build can you ???

That particular Legacy build will never update, so as long as you stay in it you'll always be running 1.64. Pretty damn permanent if you ask me.

Just because it's published through the BETAS tab in Steam doesn't make it a true beta. It's just a way to have multiple versions available at the same time.

The only true beta on that page is the Development build, which is currently sitting at 1.67. The other two are legacy builds to match the MacOS/Linux Ports (1.58) and the Legacy 1.64 that the OP is looking for.

But you are right, unless the server is going to be permanently set in the same version for ever, then it's not a permanent solution. Eventually you'll want the MOD/Game Mode devs to update to the current Stable builds.

Not only that, one would like to build with the latest and greatest especially seeing it's only a game not a commercial venture..

If I was developing for profit I'd choose a software version, target the demographic and stick with it but only if satified with it's capability of doing so.

The worst thing for a dev is having things broken by updates.

yeah. same here. i did a rollback to 1.64 and even changed perf-builds on ccg-launcher and a3launcher on current stable version.
i still cant join on any exile-servers and get stuck in loadscreens everytime.
since eichi left from his mod-works on exile, i hope this mod is still alive and in progress.

Wait for the mod to update, then.
