Arma 3 - Eden Editor | Creating Amphibious Landing
Hello, I am creating a custom mission for a group I play Arma 3 with and I'd like to set-up a USMC 1944 beach landing with landing craft, however I can get the driver of each indivudual boat to go to a certain spot but absolutly cannot get the marines (in another unit) to eject out of the boat when the boat arrives resulting in all the marines dying to Japanese fire. Any tips on how to create this scenario?

Did you use a waypoint Transport Unload (not Get Out)?

Sounds like you are using mods though. This can sometimes affect the behaviour with the vehicle action.
Also do you use an AI mod like Bcombat? That can also affect things.

I cannot get the AI to disembark, I tried all the waypoints but it didn't trigger because the landing craft would not go to that waypoint eventhough I placed move and Transport Unload ontop of eachother.

Bro,

Use the waypoint "dissimbarc" and set the timer value (waypoint options) in all 3 fields, at 2 or 3 sec.

sometimes AI jump to next waypoint . it does not, if you set the timer value.

try it out.

Ah you know what, that's also an issue. Try setting the completion radius bigger or putting the actual waypoint location a bit further off the coast.

You will likely need to tweak, test, tweak, test, tweak.... and so on until you finally get it just right.

In ARMA 2 used the leaveVehicle command, on the Boat's waypoint near short.

RUMarine1 leaveVehicle RusBoat1;

RUMarine1 = name of the Group disembarking
RusBoat1 = name of the Boat

It worked great for me. I remember always having problems w/ the waypoint Transport Unload & every other type of waypoint that you would think would make the AI leave the boat.

I've had this same exact problem as well with no luck on figuring out how to solve it. Has anyone here found a solution? I've tried so much and it' s never managed to work for me.
