CUP (Community Upgrade Project) Parachute

I've tried both:
Bohemia Interactive's "Steerable Parachute"
CUP's "T10 Parachute Bag"

And I cannot find out how to use them. I'm jumping off the top of buildings in Tanoa's Georgetown & repeatedly go splat on the streets.

Google doesn't show up anything regarding use of the Parachutes.
No options come up on my mouse wheel or keyboard layout.

What am I missing? Am I to assume it can only be used if you start off the mission at a certain altitude? No Base Jumping?

you should be able to use them if you yes start at a certain altitude but if you want the T-10 to work properly then you should probably get Chairbornes C-130 mod because that gives the T-10 its full potential. When you use the T-10 parachute with that mod your going to need a freind to fly because you have to be at a certain altitude where an option appears in blue saying either "jump out right door" or "jump out left door" depending on what door you open

Certain altitude? Tallest Building on Tanoa probably isn't high enough. So there is NO Base Jumping!
How depressing.
I was hoping to have some fun & jump off the top of sky scrapers & ambush the enemy.

If I recall right you need to open your parachute at least 100m over the ground to not kill yourself. Even 100m is pushing it when everything is going in your favour (flat ground, no wind and so on). So how high up is the building you are jumping off?

Not high enough, I tried all the buildings on Tanoa. I repeatedly leave a red stain on the ground.

This can easily be fixed through simple mission scripting. Such as:

You could try the magic Parachute script, you can use that from about 10-15m+
