How to change the weapons in zeus gamemode.

pretty newbie here, all i can choose are varients of the main assault rifle per class while i see people running around with proper LMG's

It depends on how things have been setup. The Zeus can set any number loadouts for players to spawn with. They can be any one of the pre-made loadouts that the AIs use, as well as any custom loadouts the Zeus has made before hand and saved. This will mean that players could have a large range of options from the start, or (as is too often the case with poor Zeus') have few if any options.

Once you are in the game there are a number of places to pick up more gear. Loot dead bodies and look inside crates. You might be surpised by what you find.
