Arma 3
Realistic? I think not.
I thought this game was the most realistic military shooter available? In the campaign I walked up to someone 3 feet away and shot him directly in the head. All he did was jolt (can't think of a better term) and then continue to fire at my sergeant who was far away and out of ammo. This was on the easiest difficulty by the way.

Its not realistic, rather it makes a not towards realism and combined arms far greater than other games.

Dont forget body armour affects the entire region not the graphic represented, Ie Head/torso etc etc.

Turn up the difficulty and try again I guess.
Would actually be interesting to see what kind of different reactions there would be.

2.7 hours? OMG another "expert" on Arma 3 already. Dude try playing MP and then see how good you are. I will bet you won't be walking up to any AI and shooting him , lol. Oh yeah 5524 hours to date. :steammocking::steamsalty:

Arma should never be too realistic, with realism comes immersion and awareness and if you get too immerset it kills the fun factor, it's a game after all.
It's a military sandbox rather than military simulator, it's not that realistic but still much more realistic than most FPS games on market. The one you shoot probably wear a level2 or better helmet, which has a chance to stop a low power bullet.

Don´t forget that body armour in Arma 3 works slightly differently from other games. Basicaly armour is divided into different levels . The higher the level is , the more calibers the armour can absorb. Shooting at armour "wears it out".The more worn out it is , the less damage it absorbs. Basically , the helmet stopped the bullet. Also... don´t judge the game and complain if you have only about 2 hours played. Arma 3 is very complicated game with a realism being huge part of immersion and gameplay. I am not saying Arma 3 is 100% realistic , but for the most part , it is . If you don´t understand the game , then don´t judge it.

I´m not saying I know 100% everything about the game or that I am super good at it , but I at least understand how the armour and other basic mechanics of the game work.

Are you dumb? Where did I ever say I was an expert? Also 5000 hours, that is literally sad. Get off daddy's laptop and go to daycare.

I am not trolling. So sorry for you to learn that there are valid complaints about this game. I was disappointed to find out how overrated and overpriced it is. I love to debate things with people who aren't complete idiots.

I willprobably put in 10 more hours including in the multiplayr before making a final verdict. So far though I am very disappointed. Also 2 hours is quite a bit of time. Not everybody has all day to play games like that kindergartener with 5k hours.

Ikr, this guy thinks he is the big shizz. I might not have as many hours as the bigger players, but I can sure stand up to them.

Try some community-made mods. I'll be honest with you, Bohemia dropped the ball on firearm and armor mechanics this round. All weapons underperform their real-life counterparts while being massively more accurate. Bullets fail to penetrate hilariously-poor cover (stone fences block 12.7x99mm) and body armor is hilariously good, as you can probably tell. It gets really absurd when a Carrier Special withstands a full magazine of 5.56 and the wearer just spazzes like a guy hopped-up on meth. You need 'AP' ammunition but Bohemia failed to provide you with any, so start getting back-to-back headshots or get some mods.

I sent you a friend request, I'll hit you up with some mods that provide a far superior experience to anything Bohemia can muster - and for free! The mods around these parts easily demonstrate why Arma III remains unchallenged as the King of Milsim.
