Can't my PC handle this game?
I bought the game during the sale. But I cannot play decently even I am quite above the minimum requirements of the game.

My PC:
-8 GB RAM
-AMD FX6300 at 3.50 GHz
-GeForce GTX 650 with 1 GB VRAM

I know my PC is not very good, my GPU is old and doesn't have much memory, but I don't expect to have great visuals anyway. I try to play at the lowest settings with 720p resolution and I cannot have more than 30 FPS. Sometimes it drops crazy like 7-9 FPS. If I can only get this framerates how can the minimum reqiurements guys even play this game?

I searched to internet about tips to get higher FPS but those guides are written for people with good rigs trying to achieve stable 144 FPS or so.

Is there a way for me to get a stable 30 FPS at the lowest settings with this rig? Thanks for the answers.

I don't want the game to run very good read the topic for godssake. I want the game to run barely decent. If I cannot play decently on the lowest settings how can someone with 512 MB vram can play? If they can't and I can't, why is the minimum requirements claim so?

u wont need a strong GPU for Arma3, its all about CPU power

I think my CPU is not very bad. I should be able handle the game. I don't see why I can't play.

Turn off all smaa, fxaa, things like that turn down all resolution sampling and draw distances basically turn off everything if it still don't work turn resolution to its lowest. There is no magic trick to run it on old hardware.. 30fps is unplayable if you ask me. If you can over clock CPU that may help a little.

I'll try what you said. Everything is already at the lowest but I hadn't touched the resolution sampling or draw distances.
I'm not a master race guy so I don't give much importance to visuals. I play games r6 siege, GTAV on low settings and 30-60 fps. I hoped the same with this game since its requirements were much lower compared to the games I can play.

You are right. Game is horribly optimised, never will be if you ask me...

I play at 4k and I use 7gbs of vram you do need to a good gpu as well . In my spare bedroom pc I have a i7 4790 and 280x and that can just about do 1080p high setting at 60fps but if I put my gtx 1080 in it I can do 4k high setting so gpu does matter. If you keep lowering resolution you should get it playing good enough to play.

u still need some gpu power and minimum specs havebarely changed with updates whiles performance on slower pcs has been free falling. arma is now 64bit so having more ram and a btter gpu / cpu will help
