Arma 3

Is this the worst optimized game ever? PLEASE HELP
i currently run an 8GB graphics card, 32GB of RAM and 12 cores 3.46 gHZ

Why and i getting 15-20 FPS MAX?!!?!?!?

Seriously everything is on the lowest settings and all the fancy graphics options are switched off yet it fails to run anything higher than 20 FPS.

I am very unhappy at the minute as everything on the forums says one thing then they have some other guy suggesting the complete opposite. Everybody is saying different things.

I am not that good with editing files and modding stuff in the backend and that seems to be the only suggestions coming from people.

Does this game seriously require the user to actually mod and edit files all over the system to make it playable?? I mean what happened to just selecting low graphics like every other game ever released ever. Its pissing me off because what I have played of this game so far is really impressive but unless I get a response from the DEV team, i will never play it again, I cant even play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DLC i bought! What A JOKE!!!!!!

ANY HELP WELCOME!:steamsad:

I mean, I have a 1050 over here and this game runs buttery smooth on medium for me. You sure it's not user error?

windows 10 intel (R) Xeon(R) CPU X5680 @ 3.33GHz 3.46Ghz (x2 processors)
32GB DDR3 with 6GB Graphics Card

The DLC has downloaded and redeemed fine, but the performance wont let me play it, I understand about performance dropping on servers with lots of mods but its seriously un playable in any game mode, with or without mods, its just unplayable.

My friends have lower spec machines and are in the same games as me getting 60+ FPS, i just dont get why its performing so bad.

I am new to the Arma community yes, i have enjoyed some of the content its just the gameplay is unplayable for me at the minute and im tryng everything to get it sorted.

From all the forums ive read, people say that PUGB isnt as optomised as this game but for me personally, I get 60 + in PUGB and games like COD, but on ARMA i get between 15-20 with everything on the lowest. Thanks for advice

Maybe you have resolution sampling over 100 percent in arma settings or way to much aa. I have i7 6700k and gtx 1080 at 4k most setting on ultra with high fxaa and I get locked 60fps and I play the game as I downloaded it of steam.

To be fair, CoD doesn't render entire continents at a time.

Yee, try lowering the internal resolution a little and turning down AA.
It also helps to lower the grass.

thats just an example, my specs should 100% play this game flawlessly, this is the only game ever in my steam library that hasnt worked. ive never had issues with performance on any game i was modding fallout 4 and putting 1000+ deathclaws and making them fight and didnt even dip below 60 fps. Its 100% Arma and a settings somewhere, my machine can play anything, usually.

the greatest advice ever given in the Arma arena is : lower your expecations and then match it with your ingame settings , this is the only way to be at peace :)

yes its badly optimised and unfortunately its one of those pieces of apparatus that does several things but all of them badly , however once you lower the pretty it becomes more intuitive and playable

Thanks Deano, Im afraid i am running everything on the lowest settings already and still no luck. Il give this game 1 more hour of trouble shooting and if i cant get it working again ill have to uninstall it which is ♥♥♥♥ because it seems pretty good :(

Me again. What about that dsr in nVidia control panel you haven't got that on. Should go in to GeForce experience and set it to the optimize settings it should run ok on their settings.

Ill have another look into that thanks man i havent really looked at the geforce experience settings! TY

LOL. Literally LOTS of people say that Arma 3 is unoptimized ♥♥♥♥ . When I first launched game I had like flashing white grass and trees, another bad staff. But then I just downloaded fresh vid drivers and all went OK. Now Im having 70-80 FPS on high settings. I have 16GB RAM, Intel Core i5-4460 3.2gHZ and AMD Radeon R7 360.
