Why didn't BI give us 2 seater jets?

Just why? We have at least 2 seats for every vehicle except for any jet.
Now that jets DLC has been polished, we can be sure that we aren't getting this feature.
It would have been so much fun, so why didn't we get it?

they cant even be bothrered to put a weapon service menu in for the jets so we can chose our own loadouts in game instead of using an "editor",whoever thought that was a good plan should be fired out of principle.which by the way is a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ idea to start with..but hey so long as they get your money and do a runner its not there problem..leave the community build a game they arent getting paid to work on.♥♥♥♥ you B.I. Nobody is "doing a runner".
They HAVE finished the Jets DLC.
They are not robbing anyone.
They do do work. Lots of it. Constantly. I'm sure they're very skilled in switching their computers on too.

Well what type of jets have two seats, and what route does the person in the second seat fill? As far as I am aware two seater jets tend to have the second person working some sort of air-to-ground weapons systems. They deal with setting the weapons up while the pilot does the flying, sort of like attack helis. The attack jets ingame are meant for CAS, and don't feature the more complex systems that would require a second person.

I would also point out that to add two seater jets, would not remove the need to add fighter jets, and thus would lead to the need for at least 6 new aircraft instead of just 3. There would also be the need to code the more complex sensor systems such attack jets would require, aswell as over haul the weapons systems for jets.

Not necessary because everything is simplified enough as it is, it would be fun to be able take people flying with you and would make you much more dangerous with a good ewo

The second seat is for the person dealing with most of the electronics. Most of the time this person is looking at a radar and relaying the information back to the pilot, they have the ability to fire on air targets if the pilot is busy flying. Not to forget the ecm pod needs to be adjusted depending on whats coming your way.

You two gave awesome feedback, yet it made me long for two seaters even more! Being a collective of 2 instead of a lonely "hero" pilot is just so much more intriguing in a game like ArmA, where cooperativity wins the game. 1 or 2 unskilled and/or unexperienced crewmembers will lose the fight, yet an experienced, communicating duo will win the game.

Many new aircraft designs are going back to one seaters, and as stated the second person is normally a logistics operator then arma 2s "gunner seat" one of the planes had.

T-50, f-35, j-20, etc.

This is a game balancing real protypes with logical upgrades to existing gear, your not going to see two-seater.

Have you seen how laggy it can be in helicopters? The faster you move the laggier it is it seems. Jets would be unusable in multiplayer servers.
