DayZ mod or DayZ?

I have both Arma 3 and DayZ but not sure what to reinstall since I don't have much space left. For a survival game, would DayZ be better or the DayZ mod in Arma? Also looking to not get shot on sight ALL the time, although I suspect it's gonna happen pretty often in both games. Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong sub forum.

if you have both, id say the Stand Alone, buggy and awkward though it is.

The vanilla Mod is great, but for me, I just cant go back to A2 from A3.

Many will try to kill you at any and every opportunity whichever you choose.

I would choose Arma 3 Dayz, but the last time I played SA last month it wouldn't stop teleporting my character every 5 minutes a few hundred meters and it didn't matter which server I was on.

Arma 3 can offer a lot more than just zombies, unlike Dayz SA if you download it.
I mean if you honestly dont care about anything else that arma 3 can give you then you may as well just download DAyz SA and it is a lot less hassle to some degree as you wont have to worry about downloading the mods and keeping them up-to date.
As for shooting on sight, aha ohhh boy.

I'm almost at 3,000hrs and haven't even discovered half of Arma 3 has to offer

Arma has a lot more mods yea while DayZ is just survival.. kinda feel like an exile mod I played had a lot more features, especially because DayZ doesn't really have vehicles yet. I'll download Arma, easy to deinstall if it's the wrong one. Thanks for all the advice guys!

If u wanna waste your 28 euro and never get it back then sure, buy DayZ
