Object distance = distance of objects shown
So if you want to hit something on 2000m, turn view and object distance to 2000
also, when im in a helicopter or on an atv, i can see from over 2kilometers. and as soon as i get off i can only see 950m. anything i can do in the files to change this? it isnt the weather bc i play on 24/7 day and it happens on all servers (same servers ive gotten sniped from 1000m-2000m).
View distance = distance of terrain shown
Object distance = distance of objects shown
The Object quality or seomthing like that, the higher this setting is, the more objects will be drawn. (so say you have it on low, and view distance is 5 km, it will only draw items say... to 800m or so).
Also, you can google this, go into the arma 3 folder in my documents as i recall(or just arma 3 folder), and you can manually change the amount of objects that are drawn(seen) at once. Should be an .ini file or something liek that.
Also, some servers limit the view ditance, say KOTH, you can change view distance, using server made command.
