FIXED "Steam is offline or not running" Please help

I want to play multiplayer, but it say's "Steam is offline or not running" I know for sure steam is running, and I linked my bohemia account. Please help!

Just restart Steam and run Arma 3 again. Fixed it for me and if it happens again just do the same thing.

I've tried, maybe because it's on an external hard drive? I don't know.

I'm not sure, you could just try and play it on your desktop, not on an external hard-drive.

Just a heads up, this usually happens after You play a cracked Steam game.
E.g: GTA, Farming Simulator, well you get it, all games that require Steam to be running.
I'm not saying You're playing cracked games, but that's usually the reason since those cracks pretty much disable the connection between the game(s) and Steam. :)

Well, i do admit that i play cracked games. basically cuz i shouldn't buy DLC's to have a ''full'' game. yes i'm pointing towards you Total War with your Rome 2 along with 17 DLC's just to play diffirent factions........

Now my question is, which is the easiest solution?
