Is Arma 3 more CPU or GPU intensive?
I bought RX480 8GB, but my problem is, my processor is AMD FX-4100 3,6ghz, Im in the process of upgrading my components one by one, do you think I can run this game on high settings?

Arma 3 is CPU intensive yes but if you're looking for nice visual fidelity you should also have a performing GPU.

Your GPU is really good but your CPU is worse than my old HP laptop's from 2010. Upgrade it if you can. I don't think Arma 3 will play well with your CPU. But seeing you already have 200 hrs of Arma 3 playtime, maybe I could be wrong.

All bohemia games are best on Intel CPU

set your shadows to high + so that shadows efect will run on your graphic card and not on cpu

Definately get a new mobo, ram and i5 or i7 cpu. I just upgraded from a GTX 760 2GB to GTX1060 6 GB and man what a difference.

Why would you get an intel cpu when ryzen is out. The r5s are going to be great

The ryzen single core performance is still less powerful than intel. For Arma 3 single core performance is a priority.

The ryzen cpus can be overclocked to around 5.5ghz

Clock speed isn't everything. An overclocked i7 7700K would still outperform an overclocked ryzen.

But an 7700k costs more.

According to the above benchmark link the Ryzen 7 1800x is more expensive than the i7 7700k.

The 1800x has 8 cores and 16 threads. If you get a ryzen with 4 cores 8 threads like the 7700k its a lot cheaper

You personally seen that?
Becuase everywhere i've been looking at and watching, 4.3ghz is winning the lotto while still having to use ln2... or did you look at google results from last Dec? when the hype train was at full speed ;)
