What ever the f'k BI did they need to change it back....
Personally I kinda think the sound balance is somehow different for people/hardware. I mean I dont actually think 90% of players are completely oblivious and ignoring me running up to them because I know Im not but just like most other players I wont know if someone is running up to me from behind or coming around a corner 3m infront of me unless they are moving over some specific material with a different sound(plenty of other FPS games have shown me that im not ignoring sounds so its not a L2P problem).
Some people can hear vehicles from miles away, over hills and mountains but I cant hear a Strider coming aside from the last 0.5 seconds before it hits me(engine is running). I cant hear a TANK coming unless its ~20-30m away and even then its just a low sound.
Helis, guns, explosions etc are loud enough to make my ears hurt and my volume is just a bit below that level so its not like im running around without any volume, its just some sounds are so damn low I have to be almost grinding my face on the source to hear it.
This got longer than I meant to but I guess it just shows its something I have actually been grumbling to myself for a while now.
yey new update <3
so basically I activated "dolby headphones" and i can hear enemy crawling from 50mtr.... love this dolby game software things
