Some half-assed steps for range finding and long range shooting:

1. Take a guess or use a rangefinder to get the target range
2. Page Up or Page Down to zero the scope, the number will change in the top right
3. Micro adjustments using the mil dots on the scope
4. Fire, watch for impact
5. Adjust to perfection

Hopefully that helps!

Well the problem is not to figure out the range because i am using range finder as you mentioned but Page Up and Down only doing micro adjustment and the number in top right corner is the same all the time.In control settings zeroing is set to page up and down so i dont know whats wrong i simply can not change range number in top right corner.

What gun/scope are you using?

Not all scopes can range.

As someone else may have mentioned it could be to do with the scope your using. I have made a tutorial on how to snipe and how mil-dots work whilst using a sniper rifle if you wanna check it out.. it may help you better understand. Hope this helps bud :) https://youtu.be/jAn7azleJ8k

If play with ACE mod. Grab range card or range table I forgot which one but there is one with colored sheet is for sniper and another one is for mortar.
If no VR box. About 0.5 per 100 meters for M200 sniper. Almost 1.0 for 7.62 semi auto rifle. Accurate with in 500 meters if my memory not wrong.
I purchase this game half year ago and my first time online is play with ACE mod. I like ACE more than Original game but never play with ACE for few mount

There is a new config setting for lase range, since JETS DLC , check controls > weapons > lase range. The default key is "T", but mine did not work until I reconfigured the key myself do to a conflict.

It may be useful to also know that elevation difference can have an effect even on bullets. More detail can be found here under the elevation differences section:

I've also decided to make myself a Real-Range calculator, which should speed up and help with getting your exact ranging down. The program is a small PowerShell, Source code included, that will also save and store session history so you don't have to write anything down or recalculate anything:

The up and down keys are for measuring the elevation of the rifle.
My question is
How do I level the wind deflection?

Most servers don't have wind as a rule of thumb. Although most that do usually use the ACE mod, this mod will provide users tools to do things such as measure wind speeds, based on this measurement it will tell you roughly how many mills to move the sight to the side against the effects of the wind. However I'm not aware of any guns or scopes that will allow you to just adjust that like you would the elevation. If there is any such weapons or scopes then there may be a workshop mod for them?

Otherwise you simply move the mouse to aim against the wind when firing.
