Armor lvl 5 or expl resistant?

Hi guys,

well thats the question. What rig is better, armor lvl 5 or explosive resistant? Does the armor lvl actually do anything at all? Didnt notice any different...

You get marginally better ballistic protection with the Carrier Special over the Carrier GL. However, I've found that the base game armor model is more inconsistent than anything else - almost as if those who designed it wrongly considered blunt trauma to be more important than the actual terminal ballistics of the round.

The Carrier Special is however the most robust piece of armor in the base game, especially when backed up by a CSAT or Viper uniform.
