Downloading Arma 3... Plus Workshop content?
So I got a new SSD. On my previous HDD I played Arma 3, and downloaded some mods and workshop content, ect.

I decided to now redownload Arma 3 to my SSD. Just wanted to redownload the vanilla game so its ready for me to play and get into when I'd like. Add future mods and workshop content later when I so choose.

However... once Arma 3 was finished downloading. Steam starts downloading 'Workshop content' without any notice. I was immediately frustrated because I couldn't figure out what this 'Workshop content' was. I want to know exactly what I'm putting on my new SSD when it comes to my games and game content.

So eventually I had 50+GB worth of unknown workshop content and I decided to uninstall Arma 3 completely from my computer and hopefully all the random workshop content it apparantly downloaded went with it.

Is this normal for Arma 3 to download whatever this workshop content is automatically? Or do I sound delusional? Sorry, hope I can get some clarification. I'm going to look into it some more right after posting this.

Thanks.

Steam will download automatically any subscribed workshop items, its intended.

This should list all your Arma 3 mod subscriptions. Unsub all of them, and you shouldn't have any workshop content installed along side Arma.

Thank you! Thank you! I knew it would end up not being such of a fuss compared to what I thought it was. :)

Also, for future refrence, you can access that same link, by browsing to the community hub of the game in question, choose "workshop" on the list on the top, and choose "Your Files" under your name, and select "Subscribed Items"

As for clearing your SSD of already downloaded content, try here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop (under "downloads" & "content")
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(STEAM UID)\ugc\ (under "refrenced")
^ look for the ID 107410 (Arma 3)
