Jets need counter! Add the Avenger AA launcher!
Jets ruining your day, Hop into the avenger antiaircraft launcher and knock those peskie bird out of your spawn, Pawn us no more!

We simply put a script in our mission framework that doesn't allow Jets to fire into spawn or fly within 1,000 m of it. The pilot who does finds their aircraft simply disappears and they fall to a squishy end. If they actually try to fire any ordanance into spawn they get a ban from the server for an hour... YMMV, but we've found these stop most of the spawn crap from happening.

Also placing a few IFV-6a Cheetah around spawn with an 'aimbot' script helps....

Even if there are ways to mod/script your way out of the problem its still bad for the game that there is no reliable counter or even defense against jets aside from overwhelming force... or other jets.

Im kinda hoping that in the Tank DLC we either get some new and better AA vehicle or a massive rebalancing of the current ones, imo its kinda strange to be sitting in a Cheetah and shooting at a jet coming right at me and seeing some of my shots hitting it to no great effect at all... I just find it hard to believe a jet can take even 1 hit from a 35mm high explosive round without just falling into pieces seconds later or being highly critically damaged to the point of forcing the pilot to eject.

Arma 3 jets seem to easily take at least 5-6 hits like this without issues, even with the new damage model on them.

Other Jets are amazing counters, as is any of the new Anti-Air systems. A few SAM sites placed in a spider web with one of the base-game AA vehicles in the center stops any aircraft from daring to attack you, unless they are stupid or have that OP as hell UCAV.

Most jets cannot be locked onto by normal AA because they move too fast. Setting up a spider web on KOH makes it implausable to win because your team is located outside the objective. As per your counter that other jets are effective counters, They cost lots of money and skill to effectively opperate, They are also the easiest way to spawn camp bases. That is why they need a hard counter on the ground.

Ah yes, KOTH. Not much I can help you with there, as every single vehicle is incredibly op in KOTH. Last time I played an actual server, it was nothing but tanks sitting on mountains as far away as possible either camping the zone or spawn, and if they didnt get you the aircraft most certainly would. My solution to that problem was only playing on the infantry only servers.

That's on the KOTH designers for not implementing a method of setting up said SAM sites.
