How do i effectively destroy a T-100 varsuk from a certain angle?
Playing singleplayer and i have become stuck at a certain objektive where a Varsuk tank is guarding it and needs to be destroyed. The tank (relative to my current position) is 45 degrees tilted downwards (so i can see the top of the tank) and about 30 degrees tilted to the right. However because of the terrain its impossible to attack the tank from any other position without having to get very close to the tank and risk loosing my entire squad because the tank is in an enemy outpost. I have 3 Ai AT "specialists" who i ordered all to fire at the enemy tank, and about 6 missiles hit the tank. But seems like they did 0 damage no matter how many times i try. Help?

Unfortunately as you might imagine its usually best to hit tanks in the rear.. but T-100 can also be killed if you manage to hit it in the gap between turret and body, I think it has to be either from behind or sides though and its a pretty unreliable way since you have to hit a very small area but if you do hit you only really need 1 hit.

If you cant outright destroy it you might be able to target one of its tracks instead and go around it, the tank crew might even bail if they think the tank is "too damaged".

But yeah, T-100 has a lot of armor in the front/sides so unless you have a few Titan AT shots you will need loads of shots to take it down unless you manage to hit its weakspot.

if you fire AT at the tracks/wheels and damage them ai will always abandon the vehicle.

that thing should be dead after a couple PCML Missiles. Like 4-5 MAX

I havent tested how many you need but PCML are high explosives, they are crap against heavy armor. Alamut AT rockets are much better in that case and Titan AT much better than Alamut AT.

This is good strategy

You could also try and land the first shot on the turret to dissable it and prevent them returning fire :)

Now the only thing is, how do i tell the ai to specificaly aim for those parts?
