Why is RP so popular in arma 3?

This. Basically ruined arma's core values as now there are few serveres that do what arma was built for minus the large clans.

As long as BI keep throwing up updates and they don't conceed too much too them I don't have any problem with what those 'lifers' and 'csgo' kiddies want to play. In fact, I prefer they stay the hell away from what little remains of the milsim side of things. YMMV.

On the surface it looks like roleplay but its basically just rob, kill and treat other people like crap simulators. These people want to join gangs in real life and are attracted to the anarchist thug lifestyle of degenerates incapable of kindness.

It's really fun especially on tanoa you should try it.

While I understand that by RP you meant life and Causual RP servers, technicaly, milsim is RP.

Well, they did make more people buy the game that brings devs more income. And almost everything they use in life server is custom made mods so its not like it take devs effort away from the game. And most people who bought Arma because its.... Arma, still play it like that so I dont see much problem with life servers...

So I don't like life servers, since it's all about everyone want to be police or a criminal where they want to get the attention the police so it's just one big police vs criminals mode. But they do make more income to devs for game sales and they pretty much make the modes themself so devs don't really have to do anything for them and can keep focusing on the core Arma game...

Only thing I have thought about life servers is: Why do they make it for Arma? Why not GTA or games like that... I understand its way easyer to make it for Arma since much more mod friendly, but games like GTA you can use ALOT of the base game and the Arma engine don't really fit everything since game is totaly not made for it...

Well, maybe. But the ones I see is always just police vs criminals. And that's it, like nothing else then police and criminals. No other jobs, no money, no purchase stuff system etc.

So maybe there is a few complete life mod for GTA, but that was not the point that there is none. But why do people look for it in a game that is FAAAAR away made for it instead of games that is allready almost focused on it...

The Altis life servers really dont follow their rules and it just ruins the game,

You have the gangs of 12 year olds who break every rule on the server and the admins dont care because if they enforced rules, then the gangs would leave

Well, as I told it's not like I want it(speccially since have GTA on PS4...) but why do people buy Arma 3 for it where sure it works but... you can CLEARLY see that its user made and animations and all is not made for it. Instead of just use GTA...
