Doesn't work, just pulls up as "Left Ctrl" for some reason.
Please use the search for this problem. I have replied frequently to this topic.
You have to uninstall the software for your wireless mouse first.
If that doesn't solve the problem, you have to install a driver for your old corded mouse.
When it still shows "Left Ctrl" for a mouse button, you have to use software to bind other shortcuts to your Mouse Button 4 & 5.
You can also try to bind the keys "Left Ctrl" + "Right Ctrl" to the actions in ArmA and invoke it by Mouse Button 4 & 5.
The standard action is "page forward" and "page backward".
Very easy to test in "Internet Explorer". If it works there it will work everywhere.
Ok I'll try that
I installed the software for my mouse and now I'm able to configure buttons 4 & 5 on my mouse, now what bind to I set them as? There's a range of bindings like generic button, zoom, page up and down, but which binding do I set for them so they'll work?
If you need me to I can type all of the bindings.
You can check it out in the Internet Explorer, when you use one of the buttons for navigating back and forth while surfing the wwww.
When you are in the ArmA settings, deleting "Left Ctrl" is a little bit tricky, because when you use the [Delete]-key on your keyboard, it will add the Delete-key to your action. You have to use the Delete-button in the window to get rid of any old shortcuts.
In your case it is a good advice to make a new player profile and start from the scratch up.
This will keep your active profile clear and when you find your new settings, you can simply rename your new profile.
This topic is too complicated to be solved from the distance.
It is easier to say which action you want to put on the buttons 4 & 5.
Mouse buttons 4 & 5 ?
