It neeeeeeeds to be changable on the fly from some sort of arming station. Hell even just add a scroll menu option to the ammo hemit so its more realistic.
Park next to ammo truck, look at it, scroll to vehicle loadout......boom GUI to swap missiles
C'mon devs we really need this :(
That was my thought too with DVL, got really bummed out.
Like when you rearm other vehicles, you look at the ammo truck and "Rearm".
Just do the same thing with the jets: look at the truck --> "Config loadout" --> Menu pops up that lets you choose loadout and change the color of the plane. If they did that I'd buy it, on the spot.
Free.
You get what you pay for. At least they did something.
"Free for those who tediously wanna fiddle with it" is what they should have said.
And yes, they did something. But that's not the way people play, nobody makes scripted hollywood missions in the editor, "take this plane and go bomb there: mission complete", no one does that. And they should know that, the modders working for them helping them with these DLCs should know that.
According to your logic you should be happy because at least i did something.
The Dynamic Loadout system is not a pile of ♥♥♥♥. Your analogy just doesn't work here. But yes, you should be happy because they did something. They could have done nothing, and we'd be stuck with the same ♥♥♥♥ loadouts for each vehicle.
They were kind enough to add loadout swaps to air drones, helicopters, and the original ArmA 3 planes featured. I'm not whining because I can see that they went above and beyond what I'd expected. I like them for that.
You, on the other hand, are comparing this addition to a pile of ♥♥♥♥, and in the process you act like an immature child that's mad at his daddy for getting him the wrong colored toy. Pull up your pants and grow up, young man.
Partly agreed, but I'm the kind of person that loves the editor and constantly fiddles around with it. Some people do make scripted hollywood missions in the editor, and they have fun doing it. I do think there should be some way to switch the loadout in-play (hauling ass to a ammo box or hangar), but as far as what we currently have goes, it's not anything to rage over. They gave us a product that is fully functional. I'm happy with it, I didn't have to pay money for it, and they went above my expectations. I really don't see what the anger here is for other than the change in vehicle controls. Dynamic Loadouts may be a work in progress, and if you have that much of a problem with it, take it to the BI forums and post there. The developers are far more likely to see your concern and they might take steps in the next patch they release to offer something like what you're asking for.
Well this was a good feedback thread untill this. Nobody mentiond price or anything just that the implementation of the dynamic loadouts was not what was expected and in its current form nowhere near as usefull as it could be.
Just because somethings free dosent exclude it from feedback. Or the possibility of improvement :)
"
We have considered adding dynamic loadouts system even during the mission, but we have hit several limitations. The primary lies in the way we found similar systems are being used - it varies a lot and we won't be able to deliver a system encompassing them all. There would always be people not satisfied with our approach no matter what we do. That lead us to a decision to provide support for modders to do system however they like using a handful of scripting commands we provide. We hope that people providing constructive feedback to the lack of said system would be able to show us the way they would like it to be developed. That allows us to take some time and see what is actually requested, we may eventually devise our own system that would make more sense that if we just half-blindly created something hoping for the best."
