How to get rid of excess peeps?

Is it possible to remove some peeps from an overpopuleted island? Kill them off of ship them somewhere else?

You can ship them somewhere else.

And if you don't have any space to ship em of you can always just load them on a ship and forget about them.

Thanks for the info and sorry for asking a stupid question but how do you ship peeps to another island? Peeps are not included in the manage shipping/add resources to a shipping lane page.

Just make a ship, each ship requires a crew (remember to tear down houses). If you want to move them in mass it will take a while and cost some resources, but its doable

Thanks, but I meant how do you transfer peeps to an island you have already colonised? Do you mean you can send them on another colony ship, not on a trade ship?

Peeps should be the first option on a trade ship.

I haven't built aircrafts yet and that giant whale just hoovered up a bunch of my peeps on planet 3, but didn't drop them anywhere useful. Or anywhere at all, come to think of it. I'm beginning to think it might have eaten them! And now I don't have enough peeps to build a colony ship and not enough tools to build anything new. And that one peep is still wandering around the island I sent him to scout!

In other words, it'd be great if you could transport your peeps sooner and by a more straight forward method.

I think some of the confusion with transporting people is that you can't transport both goods and people at the same time. If you load goods on a ship, then you can't load people and vise versa. Also you can't send people via a trade route.
