No sound from game suddenly

So 2 nights ago I was gonna play Koikatsu but I noticed the sound was coming out of my desktop speakers instead of my soundbar like I wanted. I switched my output to my soundbar but there wasn't any sound coming from it. I then switched it back to my desktop speakers and they would not play sound anymore either(they were fine before). All other applications are playing sound as normal through both speakers and soundbar. I'm playing on my steam copy of the game with only HF patch 3.2 installed. So far I've tried-

>Restarting my pc

>checking my HF patch plugins to see if the mute mod was enabled(it wasn't)

>uninstalling and redownloading the game before repatching it(vanilla game had no sound either)

>checking in game sound options

>setting my volume options to different Hz options

But despite this, I still have no sound in Koikatsu. Funny enough, VR mode still has sound. Any clues what could be causing this? I’ve read every other thread on this topic but haven’t had any luck. Thanks

I’ll add that I also just tried my headphones, and surprisingly the sound is actually working through them. This is good as a last resort deal but I rarely wear headphones at my pc. Don’t know if that helps with diagnosing the problem but thought I’d share.
