Illusion confirmed not shutting down, instead rebranding to "Illgames"
Probably a publicity stunt. Regardless, their old games are being removed from sales. They're continuing to make games however.

Prove me that this isnt an attempt to boost sales.
You were right smh. I bought the game and DLC full price, it's August 19th.
I've recently tried the trial version of Honey Come and it has completely the same system with Koi and other Illusion games. The similarities are beyond for a game or company that's allegedly claiming distant or unrelated to Illusion. I'm pretty sure this was all planned. Close release schedule lines up with the end of the Illusion. I quite like the HC. Though I think illgames has aimed to earn by microtransactions unlike the Illusion. That's why they are putting a ton of disclaimers to not rework or mod the game. But people already trying to port BepinEx stuff. Also shadows are amazing in HC. Unnecessarily centralized and forbidden modding is making harder for everyone to customize the game and that's to sell their own DLCs just like what KISS(cmo3d2) does for years. It's a modernized Illusion IMHO. No more photo realistic games such as AIS or HS2 for the sake of both EU GDPR and Japanese laws and privacy breaches. No more deepfakes or that kind of mind boogling challenging situations. All in all releasing the game through a clear IP and brand new company in anime style like Koi is seems like a solid solution and opportunity to be able to sell it to foreign/essentially western audience while the people are literally panic buying the old games...

Chaotic yet an effective selling strategy. Quite similar to literal stock exchanges. If something is going to be unreachable that surely worth the darn money.

I hope to see Honey Come in Steam.

"Innovative" is there for the sole purpose of their new company's name being exactly like the first 3 letters from the "old" company's name, Illusion,

so more folks would flock to buy their games.

Do you think they changed their mind since they've probably seen the biggest uptick in their games sale history on Steam lol?
My guess as to why it's still available on Steam is that Valve is just slow on taking it down, or they don't do that on weekends.

yeah that sounds about right, I could see Japn devs being so out of touch with PC English markets they thought they could just hit a button and it'll take the games off right away, meanwhile there's probably a more involved process from Valve's side of vetting it and stuff

"Innovation" is one of the words in the Illusion logo as well, alongside "impression" and "inspiration."

I am hopeful, I bought all their games on steam except VR Kanojo. Maybe, they won't ever take down that game and I could grab that game in the future, if I have a VR setup. But right now that's my limit, my wallet is crying. >.<

This feels like almost a bait and mild deception into forcing others to buying the games. The new game they making now is like a combination of koikatsu and honey select

The game is still on 1 year later, so does that mean this game and the rest of ILLUSION's old titles are safe? I'm waiting for a discount which might never happen again but the price is too high for me to buy this right now. I wish I could priority p*rn over food but it's just not possible.

The rest that are on Steam, maybe. They could still go down any day, but if they've made it this long, they'll probably stick around for a time. A sale isn't going to happen, though.
