8K normalmaps?
For a while now I've been hearing rumblings about people using 8K normalmaps to get a semi realistic skin tone... thing is for me it's really hard to find one... most of what I have found are 4K and bellow, and end up looking kinda weird vs the versions I have seen...

So I guess I'm asking if anybody's got a sample one that works well? Especially if it pairs with the KUTTS shaders would be nice since they have better shadows (less jaggies and all that.)

Use Honey Select 2 if you want more realism maybe (it also has 8K skin textures made by modders).

Managed to figure it out, seems the problem was scaling.

i'm surprised you can get a halfway-decent result with the KKUTS shaders

maybe they just require a metric tonne of wrangling to get looking "good", but in my limited time futzing about with them they've never really played ball with other materials
like, you set the skin base to a KKUTS material and then try to overlay an article of clothing with a non-UTS shader applied to it and you get alpha-mask intersection and everything goes to ♥♥♥♥... well, usually

i imagine that UTS looks pretty good if you have base character designs that are less complex and are built from the ground-up to take advantage of UTS and realistic normal maps / diffuse textures, but by that same logic, as jehuty said HS2 is better suited to serving that aesthetic

could just be a skill-issue on my part
