What do I need to do in order to make a furry character in this?
I am not looking for nsfw (but i mean if I can only do it with the nsfw stuff that's fine), I can't locate anything on this topic but in the community tab I see that some people have made them, how?

re: HFpatch
there is explicitly a fur material in the material editor that uses the colour values of whatever object to project a soft, (obviously) furry material from the object, which can be applied directly to the skin of a character if you so desire

it does have certain limitations, namely that it will clip through any clothing that doesn't have an occlusion mask below the diffuse layer, and it doesn't really like body overlays, which i presume might be an issue if you were making a tiger... or whatever
another limitation is that the material doesn't project outlines, which can clash with the artstyle of the game if you don't adjust the rest of your character to account for that
i do realize the inherent irony in that statement given the subject matter

as for the extreme body and facial morphs you would stereotypically associate with a "furry", as opposed to, like, a catgirl or something, that's all done by moving vertices using advanced bonemod, another tool packaged with HFpatch
this does require a fair bit of trial-and-error to learn how to use properly, because the editing process isn't 'what you see is what you get', so as stated above referencing pre-existing cards to learn what values they've edited to achieve that look is a good resource

if you aren't interested in NSFWifying your character, setting the body to 'default female' removes the genitals, and not defining an areaola texture (and zeroing out all of the slider values for the nipples) will effectively remove visible nipples and smooth over the nipple mesh
as i recall, the areaola texture can also be disabled through the material editor but i wouldn't recommend disabling random body assets when the same effect can already be achieved through normal means as it can complicate troubleshooting if you forget to reset it

A good way to learn how to make them is to study the cards that other people made, to see how they got them the way they are, also don´t forget to get the HF patch as stated above, it expands what you can do a lot
