How do I uninstall Koikatsu Party (with the patches and DLC installed)
Hi, so far, been enjoying Koikatsu and I've been using it to recreate my OCs and favorite characters from series that I'm into. But I have a question...

So, I have Koikatsu Party (base game here on Steam), alongside Koikatsu AfterParty (the DLC) and I have the HF Patch installed with the 'recommended settings'.

The program has been doing great so far, but at the same time it seems kinda big in terms of storage? I have a 1TB SSD and I noticed that it's a pretty big game with the mods that come with the HF Patch, nearly doubling its size.

In the future I may plan to uninstall the program if I don't see myself using it often, and after that I might use the program later if I so choose to as well.

In other words...

How do I uninstall Koikatsu Party with the AfterParty DLC and the HF Patch? Do I just uninstall it with Steam by right clicking on it in the library as usual? Or do I have to do something else? If I uninstall the game, does it also delete the HF Patch?

Deinstall the game via Steam. But after that you have to delete everything left in the game folder manually. Except the Userdata folder, since it includes your save files, character cards and outfits.

Just delete the whole folder or uninstall it from steam. As for the patch read it next time, you can select what you want and don't want.

The mods are a problem tho, you cannot select what you want and it will just give you tons of **** 90% you won't be using because It'S A gOOd IDeA! And if you decide to update mods with KKmanager you'll be downloading all the nonsense you've deleted all over again since you cannot select what you want/don't want, nor does it show images of anything you randomly are taking hours to download.

Very smart community here.

You can delete Studio mods (if you don't use CharaStudio) - this can free around 30gb on your ssd.

Studio mods are not used in main game or character editor anyway.

Where is studio mods? Also, generally speaking. How big is Koikatsu Party, plus AfterParty, and HF Patch with the Reccomended Installation?

I think KKP+AfterParty via Steam is 20 GB, then the HF Patch is about 16 GB, then the Recommended Installation comes with mods that I have to update for the first time. It's 35 GB.

So in total, about 72 GB? Just making sure.

Edit: I have not added anything else to the game besides importing some characters.

Studio mods should be in

"Koikatsu Party\mods\Sideloader Modpack - Studio"

folder (or something like this).

Yep, without Studio mods it's around 35 gb.

With Studio mods - around 72 -75 gb.

BTW, just to make sure.

This is the correct steps to uninstalling Koikatsu Party+AfterParty and the HF Patch (Reccomended Installation)?

Step 1. Uninstall Koikatsu Party+AfterParty via Steam.
Step 2. Go to the Koikatsu folder in Steamapps, and delete anything else there but the Userdata folder so I can keep my saves and cards.

That's it? I just wanted to make sure.

Yes. As I said.

Sadly, I've decided that Koikatsu isn't my thing and I'm going to uninstall the game completely from my system, everything and all (except the user folder, maybe I'll hold onto my cards when I decide to try KK again later).

So, again, I go to Steam, uninstall the game (Koikatsu Party) and AfterParty and then go into the Steam game folders, locate the Koikatsu Party folder there and delete the stuff inside besides userdata? Alright.

Are the Steam screenshots I took (F12) also unaffected? I don't want to delete the screenshots. Just want to make sure the game is out of my system alongside the patches and mods since they eat up a good chunk of my SSD. Anything else I need to know?

Yes, steam screenhots won't be affected.

You can put the game on hdd btw, loading times not that crucial here.

Screenshots made by Steam are not saved in the game folder.
To locate the screenshots folder: Open Steam, click in "View", Screenshots, choose the game and click on "show on disk".

Alright, that was quick! I deleted the game and the DLC via Steam, then went into the KP folder and I deleted everything but the userdata folder.

All good?

If I ever decide to reinstall KP later and play it again (say in a few months as an example) I can just get back to my cards and stuff like nothing ever happened?

If you have backed up "Koikatsu Party\UserData" folder (it contains gamesaves, character cards and stuff).

Just put it into your new game installation (confirm overwriting if necessary).

Yeah like the screenshot I've shown, I still kept it.

All good to go? btw, I really appreciate all the help and responses! ^^ Thanks so much. I'm still a noob, but maybe someday when my set-up is more optimized I'll return to KKP.

By that time they'll release Koikatsu Sunshine here.

Heh, ain't complaining! Heard Sunshine is the latest one and thus is more updated than the others. :)

Still, I did it all correctly, right?

I'd assume my cards from KKP would work in Sunshine. Sunshine kinda looks like more KK 1.5 than a full-on sequel imo.
