I have been excited ever since seeing that announcement, but I finally lost my patience a week ago and bought the base game + DX DLC combo on Dlsite. It took me a while to find a guide on how to install everything using a legit purchased version, but I eventually found this: https://wiki.anime-sharing.com/hgames/index.php?title=Honey_Select_2/Patching which worked great. I just followed those directions and installed the HF patch afterwards and everything works perfectly. No need to change system locales or languages.

Also, the 30% off coupon I got from creating a new account on DLsite worked so that saved me around $40 too.

I will most likely still purchase it again though when it makes its way onto Steam to show support for western translated releases (and also because I am stupid with money like that).

I noticed the same thing. Based on the game's review scores on DLSite I thought it was pretty popular, but now that I am paying more attention to the cards I realized there aren't many specifically referencing HS2. Thankfully there are a lot of good AI cards to utilize though.

BepisDB doesn't even bother separating out the two games from each other.
