can someone help me? i need character editing knowledge.

so i downloaded this character, and for some reason, the space around her eyes is black, not sure why, in the card it isn't like that.

well given that, i tried to fix it, but i cound't find anything in the editor relating to that black makeup, not in accesories, not in makeup, not in head, not in eyes, i don't know where it is; So i was hoping someone with more editor knowledge could help me identify where to locate and change such weird characteristic.

Looks like you are missing some mods.

Go to settings - plug-in settings - type "missing mods" into search field to find the necessary setting.

Missing mods are listed at top-left screen corner when you load the character.


Also try updating your mods. If you have HF patch installed just run the launcher - press "Update" button in the lower left corner - tick necessary categories (don't download mods for Studio if you don't use Studio).

i don't understand, i typed "missing mods"(with 2 s's insteasd of 3), and nothing showed up, or what did showed up was enabled.

also "missing mods are listed at top left screen corner when you load the character"......load where? in the editor? in the game? in the settings?

in the editor i didn't see any list of missing mods, can you explain it more?

also the only mod to update in the hf update option is a translation pack, i don't really think thats necessary.

Sorry for typos.

The setting is called "Show missing mod warnings" - set it to enabled.

The list of missing mods is shown in the top-left screen corner when you load character in editor.

Also try loading a card several times they can load bugged sometimes on the first attempt.

Btw leave a link to the card (or upload it somewhere), maybe I'll be able to figure something out.

Check whether you have these mods (somewhere inside "Koikatsu Party\mods" folder):

yeah, i have them, but they are inside folders that are inside the mod folder, they are not directly displayed.

can that cause issues?

Nah, mods loader reads all the subfolders, so this should be not the issue.

Really strange, what vesion of HF patch you are using?

And again, no "missing mod" warnings in editor upon character loading?

Close the game, start the KK Manager and look for updates.
Start the game again and check if it worked.

If the face is still black:

Start the character editor, click the first button to edit the head -> Eye Shape -> Upper Eye-line Type. Change that to something else.

i am using version 3.6

there isn't a warning of missing mods, i didn't find it on the top left of the screen as mentioned, don't know if i have to get to any menu to see it.

as i said, the only mod that was there to be updated, was a translation mod, wich i updated, i mean who knows, might fix it, but it didn't.

however, changing "upper eye-line" in the editor fixed it, and it looks aceptable now, so i think that is a good solution.

if you still want to investigate this further, since you think its strange, fell free to make any testing requests, i will test it around for you, i don't know, maybe it is important. but thank's for the help you both.

I think the eye thing it´s caused by missing eye shape options that belong to dlc, that happened to some of my characters when I ported them from the japanese version of the game to the steam version(I have the same mods/plugins in both versions), and I fixed it using the method Dunkler gave.

Check whether you have:

"mt_eyeline_up_50.unity3d"

in your

"Koikatsu Party\abdata\chara"

folder.

If there is none - this card requires dlc.

Try changing upper eyeline type to something other (in "Eye shape") to something other in this case as well
