Adding a Character?

So I saved a character card from pixiv and put it in the correct character / gender folder but it wont upload any characters i put in. I looked all over the place to see if i was doing it wrong but I'm not. How do i fix this?

Make sure you downloaded the actual picture and not the thumbnail. It must be a .png file with the size of 252 x 352 pixels.

yeah its that size and everything so im not sure why its not showing up in the creator part

Mh. Could be that the card is created in Koikatu (japanese version) which won't load in Koikatsu Party.

Best bet is you install the HF Patch (https://www.patreon.com/posts/hf-patch-for-v3-32983607) and try again. (It's a mod pack which includes many mods, plugins and fixes, ...)

(backups are cool, don't forget to make backups)

Most likely the png file don't contain the character data on purpose.

It's rather often on pixiv when they want to show off with their characters, but don't want other people to be able to use them, so they post the cards without character data to tease you.

To check whether png file contains character data, open it with notepad, press ctrl+F and search for "sex" or "KoiKatuChara" (without quotation marks).

If they are not found - there is no character data in the file.

Charcter card's png file can have basically any resolution, I have some with 756 x 1056 for example.

Wahh it had said in the description they were useable :( I had also grabbed one from the booru site and it didnt load in either so im not sure

okay so! im back bc im dumb. How do you get a card downloaded so that the notepad looks clean and not like hieroglyphics

Png card SHOULD look like hieroglyphics when opened in Notepad.

Just press ctrl + F and search for the keywords I dscribed earlier.

oh thats so weird bc the keywords are in there but they wont show up in the game itself
