my specs:
Graphic card: GTX 1080 TI
CPU: i7 -4790k (4.0GHz)
PSU: EVGA SUPERNOVA 850 G+ (as i put in the thread)
So really a game like this shouldn't strain so much.
It seems that your new PSU is just noisy. That your old PSU got sparkling issues ... welp, just a happy little accident.
That's probably why its stressing so much because i've been trying to fill all the 3 classrooms with characters that i've made in the character customisation,so there is quite a lot of students. But if that was the case wouldn't i be having fps or stuttering issues? because everything is running fine no jumps in movement or lag of the other students. Another thing, if its because of the number of students roaming around the campus is why its straining on power, then why it still sounds like its still straining when its just you interacting with a student as everything else is removed.
It seems that your computer can handle it. Thats why you don't have fps problems. ;-)

Because in the conversation and H scenes high poly models are used, while in the free roaming (with all the students loaded and running around) low poly models are used, so it does not affect the performance that hard.
If you are still worried that your computer might get damaged due to the high graphics ... since you installed the HF Patch: Open the settings menu (F1) and click in the upper right corner on the small grey button "Plugin" and search for "graphics". Make sure that there is no Downsampling enabled. Also deactivate or lower the Antia Aliasing, the resolution, ...
Sorry that this is a stupid and lazy question but am i able to do that at the main menu where the strain i hear on my PSU isn't there?
btw the game itself have got graphics settings, too. So remove some ticks (especially the Ambient Occlusion one) and see how it looks. You don't need to restart the game, so you change the settings ingame.
