If you like realistic style and have powerful computer and willing to sacrifice some mods - PH.
Otherwise all these games are pretty much interchangeable.
Fakku doesn't seem interested to get Honey Select on Steam.
They have their own store you can buy it from.
I, too, would prefer a Steam version, as I can't use any of fakku's payment options.
KP has vr too btw.
Also to add, Play Home is fairly different theme all together, and is never going to see a western release, ever. No circumstance in the world would ever make Illusion even think about releasing Play Home to the west, lol... For obvious reasons *cough* 2009 controversy *cough*.
I forget people probalby weren't around at the time, lol. I remember it vividly, I also remember the time when you could go to Japanese game sites regardless of IP, and when the IP blocking happened, and all the workarounds that started to pop up(VPNs weren't a popular thing back then).

It was ridiculous, still is ridiculous as the game was never intented, nor was it outright obtainable by anyone outside of Japan(doesn't run on non-japanese pc's either, i.e: have to change localisation settings on the computer or use a program that does it on a software-software basis, such as applocale), but that didn't stop soccer moms from getting their panties in a twitch.
This is also why we all shake our heads to outrage mob deniers\appologists. Even a few thousand outraged twitter users can have serious consequenses to video games, just as soccer moms had on the Japanese video game market outside of Japan(stiffled it before it even considered growing).
It is, which is how the controversy happened, lol. To put it this way, PH is a playful, light themed rape. It starts a little dark, but for the most part they end up loving it pretty quickly. It's obviously targeted to those that enjoy it rape fantasy, but not in a twisted dark way.
Rapelay throws that out the window and is full on extreme dark rape fantasy. It's targeted to that small nichè that enjoys seeing women cry and suffer. This is why the controversy happened, and why it got so out of hand, also didn't help that you rape a 13 - 15 year old girl in it(and another 16 - 17 year old). So one can definitly see and understand HOW, and WHY the controversy happened. While it does have mind break theme etc, but it is a very slow climb to that state, playhome you reach that state within the first couple ingame days, no slow climb.
But again, never sold outside of Japan, never inteded out of Japan, and had regional locks to ensure this(as much as one can ensure such a thing on PC), which is what made the controversy extra stupid. Had it been sold in the west? Sure, I can see it. But not when sold in Japan exclusivly. And so it's very obvious why we'll never see Playhome in the west. Had Playhome existed instead of Rapelay, the controversy might not have happened(as it's more light themed and less in your face edgy about the whole thing).
Also name doesn't give it any favors, lol... RAPElay, I mean cm'n. Any soccermom seeing that would throw a fit, just as half the western world now would throw a fit(They throw a fit everytime you mention that word without a trigger warning, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ triggasauruses man...).
Because it devaulates vagaga.
Well, there's a bit of a difference between a game set in war and you shoot enemy soldiers, and a game where you play a serial killer, killing people because it's "fun". Rapelay would be the latter and not former.
Not to say there is anything wrong with video games like that, just that your statement seem very misguided into what the issue itself was\is.
I'd also argue that pedophilic video games(i.e, loli games) are fine, and it by far is better to have pedophiles centered around and focused on such games, than going against actual children. I also definitly disagree on anyone saying it's a "gateway" to actual children, if that was the case it'd be a lot less pedophilic cases around the world(considering loli stuff is banned virtually everywhere), just as a rape game, or a serial killer game is in no way a gateway, or reflection on a person in real life.
But definitly not a case of "Because it devaulates vagaga". It's more the case of someone feeling triggered \ offended about something they don't like existing. Which goes both ways on both sides of the fence.
