How does this compare to Honey Select?

Hey guys, to those who has already "cleared" Honey Select, how does Koikatsu Party compare to HS?

I can see that it's more anime-ish, but what about the interactive options? More actions? More freedom? And perhaps better auto controls?

Does it also have elements of Home Mate built into it?

Edit: Damn son, I just saw the VR mode. I need to learn how to grow a third hand.

The number of sex animations is about the the same (compared to HS), if you count all the unocked ones and all the location dependant ones. There are more activities in KK actually. Walking around the academy, talking with girls (and getting different replies), participating in story events. All this is not present neither in HS nor in PH.

Typical KK installation with HF patch has about 590 sideloader mods alone. I really doubt some typical HS installation has more than 100 mods for accessories and stuff installed.

The reason for longer loading times is the number of characters on the map. It's more than 30 for KK (though low-poly ones) vs 3 max (but high-poly ones) for HS or PH. Like 85% of the loading time for KK is loading characters + mods to display each properly.

So the key question here is what visual style you want. If you want realistic one, get HS (don't forget to get 4k skin mod) or PH.

If you want something anime looking and want have some other interactions with girls than sex, get KK.

Well I meant that rather than just purely sexual interactions as in HS, I think it'd be nice to be able to move freely and interact with the girls. Also, I like anime girls more.

Then KK is your choice. Remember to get official dlc's somewhere (either from japanese storefront or from the net somewhere) for better experience thouhgh.

You still get some dialogue and story narration. Though I'm not VN expert, maybe that's not enough to count as one. I've only read a couple outside of Ace Attorney franchise.

Well, it's typical for vn's to have a text amout fitting for some small or medium-sized book. Both HS and PH are not even close.

HS, PH and KK have the very same engine - Unity.

Eh, I almost pre-ordered EC thinking it's a new addon for KK. Sadly they are separate games (which are looking exactly the same).

Hi, sorry for hijacking this thread, I have a few questions regarding HS and PH I don't know where to ask elsewhere:

1) For those who have both HS and KK, do you play both equally or do you play one a lot more than the other? I fear I buy both but only end up playing one.

2) In HS can you make something other than Asian-typed girls ? From what I've seen they're all Asian-styled physically.

3) Which game between HS and PH is the best at creating context around the H scenes ?

4) In HS and PH can you chose to not display the male character like in KK?

Long story short you want both, because PH retroactively supports content from HS, animations, mods, cards, you name it, while having better graphics and INFINITELY better lighting.
Of course some items will be broken, but a lot of stuff just works.
And as it turns out you can use studio neo and battle arena animations in PH studio as well, making it up for any lack of social and combat animations it might have out of the box.
And yes of course you can hide male character.

2. Yes, you can make non-asian girls in HS.

I mean, which game has the better gameplay outside of the H scenes. For example in KK you don't go directly to the H-scene, you have all the walking around talking to students to do beforehand, which greatly enhances immersion to me.
In HS and PH, there seems to be little of that; but which has the most?

Both PH and HS are quick sex simulators (with realistic visual style). You just choose the room, the girl(s) and have sex, nothing more (though HS have 2 tiny mini-events, but they don't make many diffrerence anyway).

You can't even walk in HS and PH.

Then in fine, what is the difference between PH and HS? Both have the same visual style, are quick sex simulator without any "story"... I suppose both have the same kind of content in the character editor (clothes, face model, accessories, etc).

They have different graphics quality and lighting, as well as different set of sex positions and animations.
