So Single Player No but Lccal Multi Yes?
Just want to make sure I did my research correctly

The workshop has plenty of user-made wrestlers or you can make your own
and a lot of fun against a human opponent

but

The AI is so terrible that the game isn't worth bothering with if you plan on playing alone?

The game has local multiplayer. The wrestlers have old-school AI. Meaning they try to win, but there is no logic system like in Fire Pro games. It's not a sim game by design. It's an arcade game with more depth and moves than the actual classic wrestling arcade games. I've played 8 hours so far, and maybe only 30 min of that time was playing with my friend. It's a much better game than I expected when I bought it. It's a great arcade wrestling game, with a dev team that's still pushing out quality updates and listening to the community.

Does the AI just stand around confused letting you punch it to death like a few reviews have claimed?

I haven't had them just stand around. I actually wish sometimes they would give me some room for a second. On hard, the AI full court presses you a lot of the time. Maybe the comments about the AI standing around are either from people playing on easy or people comparing it to other wrestling games that are not arcade games. The AI could be better, but they don't just stand there letting you punch them. Also, if you do repetitive things the AI has an auto counter. They can also counter things without the auto counter kicking in, but they usually don't. I've had some pretty close matches on the hard difficulty. I've yet to have any challenge on easy, even on day 1. The game has also been patched multiple times since launch which got rid of some bugs people complained about in reviews (and have no yet changed). For example, the bug where AI wouldn't get it, patched. I can imagine its confusing to see reviews saying there is no AI, yet also seeing positive reviews, and knowing a wrestling game with no AI wouldn't have many positive reviews.

Yeah, playing it now I see you have to have it set to hard for it to play like a proper wrestling game

This isn't too bad of game but still bugs that need to be worked out

I've had times when the AI have just stood around in hard mode, but so far it's only happened to me in in the battle royal, and I'm assuming it happens in the other mult-man matches as well. I'm guessing it's because they don't know who to target when there becomes an odd number of people.
