Has this game been abandoned?

I picked it up a few years ago. I was about to start playing, but the rating has dropped and people are saying the devs gave up on it and the maps aren't complete

I don't know why people are saying it's abandoned, the credits roll when you beat the final boss with the story concluding

Oh. So all the maps are complete and the game plays through from beginning to end w/o major issues?
Some bugs are okay, they exist even in long completed games

Yeah, I think it's in it's final form, but "abandoned" ... kinda? I doubt we'll see any balance adjustments or refinements ever again. The news tab has been barren for years.
