The achievement is obtained after you killed all killable characters (except Peter) in the game.

You should try using your sword on everyone you meet in the game. But you don't need to use it on animals, especially not on a cute lion.

Sometimes, you have to try using your sword several times on a person before being able to kill it.

You apparently didn't kill everything you could kill :-). Try again, it doesn't actually take that much time.

it doesn't bother me too much but I killed everyone I could, then the town was basically deserted, so I figured I'd have to not kill everyone initially so people would let me in and I could kill a few more the second time around and that'd trigger it.

I tried killing the lion to see if it was apart of the achievement, then the protagonist got mad at me so I had to load to a previous save

i cannot get it:( i assume you cannot kill everyone in one playthrough right? my list of killings is

the cripple at the start of the game
the gatekeeper at the entrance of the town
the guy being tortured who drops the pliers
the two guys at the talent competition
the girl with the earring
the music composer
the guy on the cow (although i dont think it counts as a killing)
the guy on the boat who takes you to the basilica
the sleeping one in the tomb
the 3 bishops before Peter
Peter
all the villagers in the end

do i miss anyone?

I killed: Archer, Gatekeeper, Sleeping guy, Guy on the boat and the 3 bishop before Peter it's seven and I got the achievement too

You can kill three people where the Archer is (including him)!

Starting a new game, I killed:
- Cripple
- Gatekeeper
- Archer
- Torturee
- Man tied to tree (with apple on his head)
- Dead Man (in tomb)
- Ferryman.

The achievement popped on the Ferryman kill. Took about 10 minutes. I had already completed the game to get the 3 endings so I don't know if that helped...but I feel like you can just do this on any play through to get the achievement. :)

I did this and it popped for me.

Does anyone know how to accomplish the Holy Book achievement?
