Tried this. Game succesfully launched, then crashed, saying it didn't recognize a graphics card.
Tried to launch the game through Bastion.exe, and now it works!
Thanks for the solution, spread the word.
Stopped working

I tried your tip, but still nothing. This is ridiculous.
you could try that.
did you try running it without Steam? from the steamapps/common/Bastion directory (warning: I've just tried it and it doesn't display all text in the menu correctly, so I guess it can also happen in the game itself)
...on Linux?
did you try running it with the antivirus and/or firewall off?
=\ RAM?
I did a search for e0434f4d and found a thread (https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/af2252c5-bdba-4c1c-81ef-209c3f219246/clr-exception-code-e0434f4d) where the solution was to uninstall all .NET framework libraries and only install the 3.5 one (dunno if it's the same version that Bastion uses)
you can try that if you didn't already (and got the same error?)
good luck!
thanks alot for your help
Try this first: Go to your Steam Library (By pressing LIBRARY while logged into Steam). Then right click on Bastion (in the GAMES listing) and select Properties. Then click on LOCAL FILES tab. Choose VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE...and then Steam will begin to Validate your game files. If something is missing, the missing file will be added automatically. You will have to exit Steam before any changes go into effect.
Try this second: Under Properties - GENERAL tab, disable the Steam Overlay by un-checking the appropriate box (It's called the "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" box).
I hope this will help someone?
