Favorite Loadouts
Started with:
-Dual Pistols (which make you feel like a badass no matter who you are) and Machete with Hand Grenades.

Beat 10 Idol Challenges with:
-Flame Bellows (burn the forest down!) and Pike (long range and high attack rate) with Mirror Shield, which saved my butt many times.

For funzies:
-Any weapons + Gel Cannister. Putting down Portal turrets like a boss.

I'd love to hear what your fav loadouts are!

I'm a sucker for the Army Carbine. Add in bullets that ignore armor and a critical shot, and you can just about one-shot anything in the game, so long as they don't gank you. That's where the Hammer comes in.

Pike and shotgun is also another fun loadout. Keep'em at arms length with the pike, and the shotgun is for the swarms.

Scrap Musket with a lot of knockback and doubleshot!
you can easily throw a lot of enemies out of the levels - always fun.

I like the shotty but I wish I could max out the firing rate to make it feel like an auto-shotty, that would be awesome!!

I'm a sucker for firing rate tho, how fast can you shoot and reload?

I use the army carbine along with the dueling pistols and hand grenades. The only thing I haven't been able to do with this setup is the Stranger's Dream with all 10 idols invoked.

Pretty ballsy to not use a melee weapon! Haven't done it myself, I like to get in baddies' faces. The Mirror Shield saves my butt tho when doing the Stranger's Dream. I just push the tough baddies for a ring out

Pike and Mortar.

Mortar with the final upgrade that makes you immune to the explosion is possibly the strongest weapon in the game.

Never gave the mortar a chance, might have to try that out

Pike and shotgun worked pretty well

Started with pistol and shotty, but there wasn't not enough stopping power, so i switched out the pistols for the breakers bow with damage, stun and draw speed. Eventually got tired of the shotgun so now i usually go with the mortar or pike along with the bow. Stun lock anything big enough to hurt you till you can poke it with the spear/blow it the up. Or just stand back and snipe like youre hawkeye.

I agree, a bow after max upgrades is great fun, match it with the Dancing Shot special for the most lolz

My absolute favourite is Pike and Mortar, although Carbine and Bellows is a close second.

I really dislike both the hammer and the machete, since the pike blows them both out of the water. On the other hand, I love both the Slinger Pistols and the Fang Repeater, even though there are other weapons that do their job, only better.

I really can't get around to liking the hammer either, or the Fang Repeater for that matter

Hammer and mortar.

The hammer gets a little getting used to, and it's pretty weak comparatively until the last few upgrades.

I'm a sucker for firing rate, so for a long time it's pistol/machete/duel decider. Recently I'm finding the flame bellows pretty darn powerful, so I've been pairing that up with the mortar to compensate its short range. The mortar is a tad bit slow though, and I can't decide which RT skill to pick for my bellow/mortar paring.

I really really want to get good at using the calamity cannon because it's so darn powerful, but man am I crap at aiming that thing.
