Bugged achievements?

I just completed one of the "who knows where" zones with 5 gods activated and still din´t get the achievement, is any of those reported broken or bugged?

I've never heard of any problems with those achievements. Maybe you lost connection and Steam didn't update?

May be, there was some conection problems at the moment.

Just to be clear, there´s no special condition to get those achievements right? I mean, except for the narrator dream which is unlocked on new game plus, the kid, the singer and the other guy dreams achievements can be obtained in normal right? I´ll try again to see what happens, but it sucks.

It happen to me again and Steam conecction was fine. These are refering to the 4 "who nows where" zones" right? Because unless I´m getting that wrong, I don´t understand what´s happening.

I enter the smoking pipe dream with 5 gods activated (I only have 8 gods, not the full 10), completed all waves and again, no achievement. I´m playing in normal, first playtrough, level 6, have already completed several times the same dream sequence several times, it register that I activate the gods apparently since the effects are noticable, the 5 images of the gods appear when I enter the zone and I did get the vigil about completing a dream with at least one god activated, but in terms of the achievement, nothing.

Do I need to complete the game prior to this or somethign that is not especify in the game and I´m missing? I do believe I´m doing it right.

I had the same problem with the finish-the-game achievement, currently playing on plus still missing the achievement.

I am interested since I am planning to do those in future.

May I ask if I should first finish and upgrade everything and then switch to new game plus.

Or does it not matter?

You NEED to get into New Game Plus since that´s the only way you will have all 10 gods, the last two are earned inmidiatly after starting New Game Plus. You can get the "five idols" achievements in normal game, all but the Narrator ones, this dream sequence is also earned in New Game Plus as well as other surpraises.

My recomendation? Play trough normal without too much worries, then proced to New Game Plus, it doesn´t matter which level are you or if you din´t take some of the missable achievements, just enjoy the game, try to catch the story and if you want you can play the dream sequence with no gods activated to test them BUT try not to get crazy on earning pieces to buy everything in the missing store(I even will go as far as tell you to forget about the proving grounds), finish the game. Once in New Game Plus, take a look at an achievements guide to see what you had miss, now you will not get spoilered about the game in those guides. This is where you will max out your guns and get every god, potion and abilities. Build your missing objects and forge before anything in the Bastion (you can now build the sotres in any order you desire), your guns will be updated to where you leave them in your first playtrough, and the first upgrades you find in the game, will be repeted and you can get them again (not sure if bug), this way, if in chapter 5 you get the second upgrade for X weapon, it will be there again, so you can get every upgrade pretty quick without worring about the proving grounds yet. Around the middle of the story you should be level 7 o 8 and have some of the guns already upgrade to max level, just in time for when the game becomes a little more challenging. SInce you´re colection the upgrades twice, you will have ten for each gun, but only the regular 5 are usable.

Now from this point on you have two choices, or you try to get everything on New Game Plus, or you wait till Score Attack Mode. If you do all in New Game Plus you can get everything except for one achievement (not missing any real content of the game), if you wait till Score Attack Mode, it will take more time, LOTS, so how much you enjoy the game is a factor here. In Score Attack Mode, everything is reseted except for the idols and potions which you have all from the start, and you gain the ability to replay levels, which make the leveling system much more accesible.

So, don´t worry too much about normal mode, if you want to play any other playtrough, New Game Plus or Score Attack Mode, then go for the completetion complex in those, not in Normal mode since you simple can´t and will waste tons of time. Personally, I complete normal mode and did get most of the non-challenge related achievements in that playtrough, then the Vigils and Upgrade Guns stuff in New Game Plus. I was trying to get the dream sequences achievements when I find this bug or whatever it is and proced to Score Attack Mode without really knowing what will happen, no problem though, most of the achievements can be earned as well in Score Attack Mode and being able to replay levels is perfect.

PD: I try in New Game Plus the smoking pipe dream sequence with 10 gods, didn´t make it since I was confident and in the 3 or 2 wave a fast charging enemie killed me in two hits (I was soooo confident that I forget enemies will hit that hard and didn´t use the a potion in time). Altough i din´t make it that time, it´s not that much hard to be honest, even without paying much attenttion to what potions to use is not that much hardcore if you evade enough and use a good ranged combo weapons (one for DPS, another for great one hit extra damage). Will try some day in the future to see if the achievements work or that particular one is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up forever.

As I understand I should be able to win all dream achievements in new game plus, which is nice and I will wait then.

Besides that I am missing:
- Complete Story / Complete in New Game Plus: Will unlock by gameplay.
- Upgrade Weapons: Will do over time.

Now there is a "Score attack mode" which I didnt find yet. Bet I will sometime.

I am not looking for spoilers as I am already at the last part of normal game and did everything except those named above.

I just dont want to miss anything or the best chance to do something because I probably dont have time or motivation to do it again :>

Well, if you want all achievements you need 3 playtroughs, no escaping that. But leaving the Score Attack Mode only achievement for last is probably the smarttes idea. You can find Score Attack Mode on the main menu along with New Game Plus once you finish Normal.
