Best loadout for Singer's Dream?

I cant seem to find a good loadout for doing the singers dream with 10 idols. There are a bunch of waves with swarms like stinkeyes or peckers, and alot of swarms of peckers that shoot projectiles and pincushions and wall flowers. Normally id use hammer/bow or pistols/pike but none of those are any good when surrounded by stinkeyes. But when i choose something like the bellows to take care of those, then i get destroyed in the pincushion swarm. I have to turtle close with my shield and get destroyed by another one of those relentless pincushions from behind. I could use a mortar or something but i get really uneasy of the thought of being completely without a melee weapon.

And NOTHING i seem to do will help me against the swarm of bullet peckers.they all curcle around me and shoot from all sides. Its impossible to avoid all the fire, and impossible to block it all. And when i start attacking not only am i assaulted with bullets, but when they start taking damage they ALL fly off the map and i have to wait for them all to come back so i can fight them ALL again. I cant pick them off. Even if i made it past the stinkeyes and peckers with the carbine, i can take out one or two of the bullet peckers with that before the ones unloading in my back take me out.

So if anyone has beaten the singers dream with 10 idols? And what loadout did you use with what reasoning? And how can i tackle that god forsaken bullet pecker swarm?

I believe I used pike and cannon, I've beat them all with that. Cannon upgraded to swerve towards enemies, and NOT upgraded to hold until you release the shot. All the dreams aren't too hard, but you need to take leechade. Werewhiskey with it helps too, just deal damage fast enough to survive. Edit: Oh and lifewine is always great.

pike with piercing will do alot better and pick a shotgun for crowd control and follow tht pielord drink

I used cannon with explosion upgrade for killing everything and flamethrower with "damage over time" upgrade for gaining health back.
