More like an art showcase than a game?

I believe I'm near the end of the game. All I've done is walking floating tiles and smack some baddies. I really appreciate the beautiful art but is there any point to continue? Maybe I feel that way because I'm coming from Hades, idk

Maybe Bastion just isn't for you.

You have to acknowledge it was their first game and it's a bit old now. For a first game of a studio, it is really impressive.
Coming from Hades, you will note some stuff they kept. If you play Pyre (and probably Transistor), you will note some other stuff. Bastion kinda feel like a showcase because you know the next games of Supergiant
