Scribbling bug
Everytime I play I hear that scribbling noise. It doesnt go off. It plays throughout an entire playthrough.

Same here. Quit out and restart to fix (until it comes back). Repeat until you finish.

So...any update on balancing this overly frustrating game?

Yep. They linked to streamers, soon the devs will provide a how to play and after that they will revisit balancing issues.
