Is John Paul Jones a slow learner?
I'm currently playing the US campaign on hard/hard without adaption and I've choosen John Paul Jones as my alter ego at the start of the campaign. Although he is gaining experience and his skills improve and he gets promoted, it fells like it takes much longer for him to rank up compared to my other officers. Has anyone experienced this as well? not a big deal but as an old role playing guy I'd like my alter ego to be one of the finest officers/admirals in my navy :)

I’m using one of the other American admirals and while I have about 4 Rear admirals now all 100, my admiral Barry is in the 80’s and 90’s. maybe they are slower?
Thanks, nice to know someone else experienced this.
I agree with you both. I have plenty of campaigns online and when I look back at them I do notice that too. So it's confirmed. I would like to hear more about why that is though or why was it programmed that way?
No . He was the bass player, keyboard player, and musical collaborator of an old band called Led Zeppelin. Jones is widely considered to be one of the most highly influential and important bassists, keyboard players and arrangers in the history of rock music. FACT
I believe your alter-ego levels up not from experience gained in missions, but from the storyline itself.
You can still make your admiral's experience gain faster by normal means such as making him command the least experienced ship but the rate of gain is less than your other officers in the same situation.

They actually fixed this in the early access days but it reverted back after one of the patches.

How did everyone miss this since APRIL smh.
Didn't miss it and don't agree.
You can make the case historically.
Not paying sailors' salary and get riot.
Get a new ship.
Not paying sailors' salary and get riot.
And even in his great invasion against England.
Not paying sailors' salary and get another riot on his hand.
Dude doesnt learn!
John Paul Jones and Ringo
